Ricardo Viegas was born in Faro, Algarve, Portugal, in 1980. He has embraced the vision of Yoga as his lifestyle, and shares this teaching through regular classes and courses since 2005. He started his training in yoga through the Portuguese Yoga Federation, then through IAPIPSY – Autonomous Institute of Svatantrya Yoga Teachers and Practitioners, and also through Brasilian Yoga Alliance. Since then he has been studying and learning with teachers such as Usha Devi, Pedro Kupfer, Tomás Zorzo, Danny Paradise, Edson Moreira, Vanderléa Jovino, and Amândio Figueiredo. He regularly visits India to study Advaita Vedanta in Daynand Ashram with Swami Tatvavidananda Saraswati, Swami Vidytatmananda Saraswati, Swami Santatmananda Saraswati, Swamini Paraprajnananda Saraswati, and studies vedic chant and sanskrit with Swami Sachidananda Saraswati. He is also a regular presence at Ganga Mira’s satsangs, wife and disciple of the zen and vedanta master Papaji, in the lineage of Ramana Maharsi.
